Lexington, Ky., April 20, 2009 – Ann’s Hallmark and four more restaurants – locally owned Koto Japanese Bistro along with popular national chains Chick-fil-A, Panera Bread and Olive Garden – are joining Richmond Centre, the premier regional shopping, entertainment and hospitality venue for south-central Kentucky.

Ann’s Hallmark (5,197 sq. ft.), carrying the world’s leading name in greeting cards, will open its doors at Richmond Centre in early fall. Hallmark prides itself on being family-owned, now under third-generation family leadership. While the retailer is most known for its extensive greeting card collection, Ann’s Hallmark will also offer wrapping paper, gifts, candles, decorative items for the home and paper party supplies. Customers can pick up a keepsake picture frame, photo album or scrapbook to store their most cherished photographs and memories.

Koto Japanese Bistro (4,514 sq. ft.) will offer Japanese cuisine such as filet mignon and shrimp from a teppanyaki grill or fresh fish and ocean delicacies prepared before the customer’s eyes at a sushi bar. The independent, locally owned restaurant will offer entertaining teppanyaki dining – a style commonly known as hibachi – in which chefs trained in the art of knife and utensil specialty cooking prepare food on an iron griddle at the customer’s table. The restaurant is expected to open in May and will cater to lunch and dinner crowds.

Chick-fil-A (4,596 sq. ft.), the nation’s second largest quick-service chicken restaurant chain, will open its doors at Richmond Centre in the fall. Chick-fil-A has a long-standing reputation for delicious menu options including the Original Chicken Sandwich, outstanding customer service and a variety of tray options for business or casual events. The eatery will be open six days a week serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Panera Bread (3,500 sq. ft.), which was recently named the nation’s healthiest fast-food restaurant by Health magazine, will provide another distinctive dining venue at Richmond Centre, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Panera bakery-cafes are known for an extensive assortment of freshly baked breads and pastries that are prepared in-store daily. Panera’s quality foods feature whole-grain breads, organic and all-natural ingredients and antibiotic-free chicken.

Panera’s menu selection includes year-round favorites, such as hot paninis, signature sandwiches and hand-tossed salads, complemented by seasonal items which vary throughout the year. Panera also offers a relaxed and comfortable environment with free Wi-Fi Internet access. Each bakery-cafe donates any leftover breads and baked goods to local non-profit organizations at the end of each day. Panera will open at Richmond Centre in September.

Olive Garden (7,441 sq. ft.) will open on a 1.7-acre outparcel at Richmond Centre in September. The restaurant provides an extensive selection of Italian favorites at casual dining prices. Offering classics such as fettuccini Alfredo and chicken parmigiana and specials such as Tuscan garlic shrimp, Olive Garden is sure to satisfy any appetite. The menu also suggests food-wine pairings, selecting the perfect wine to complement any meal, and an array of delicious desserts. Olive Garden will serve lunch and dinner seven days a week.
